Our soap begins in our family's olive groves

From the olive groves of Malevizi, to our first mould

ANODY did not start as a business plan. It started with two siblings who grew up among olive trees in Malevizi, Heraklion, and learned the value of olive oil long before they could explain it.

Malevizi has produced olive oil since Minoan times: at Tylissos, a few kilometres from our trees, excavations uncovered storerooms full of huge oil jars. Later, oil from these hills went down to the harbour of Heraklion and fed the soap works of the Mediterranean. Soap here isn't a trend — it is the oldest use of our oil.

The olive oil comes exclusively from our family groves. We buy no raw material from third parties: we bring the oil of our own harvest into the workshop and weigh it precisely before every batch.
